Meet Cristina
Hello, my name is Maria Cristina, but you can call me Cristina. I am thrilled to be pursuing my dream of becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) as the first in my family of ten to achieve this milestone. As the second oldest sibling, helping others has always been my passion, and I firmly believe that family is the foundation of all meaningful relationships and interactions.
My journey to becoming an MFT was inspired by my experience as a Bilingual Instructional Assistant in a school setting. There, I witnessed firsthand how vital communication and understanding are for personal growth and connection. Being fluent in both Spanish and English enables me to bridge the gap for those who face language barriers, empowering them to express themselves and be heard.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from the University of Phoenix, and as a Mexican immigrant, personal and professional growth has been a lifelong goal. Now, I am ready to apply my skills and life experiences to guide and support individuals and families in rebuilding their lives with care and compassion.
Outside of my professional aspirations, I cherish spending time with my 16-year-old son. I also enjoy crocheting, listening to music, reading, and writing. I always strive to focus on the positive, believing that every situation holds a silver lining waiting to be discovered.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you find your path to healing and growth. Let’s work together to create a brighter future.
