Meet Ariana

My name is Ariana Lozano, and I am a first-generation Latina on the path to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Kentucky, building upon the strong foundation I developed while earning my Bachelor’s in Social Work from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Before discovering my passion for social work, I worked in nursing and earned my Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. While I enjoyed supporting patients’ physical health, I realized my true calling was in addressing both emotional and mental well-being. This realization led me to transition into a career where I could support individuals holistically, focusing on mental health alongside physical health.

As a first-generation Latina, I bring a deep sense of empathy, cultural awareness, and commitment to my work. I am passionate about empowering individuals, particularly those from underserved communities, to navigate life’s challenges while fostering resilience and growth. As I continue my education and training, my goal is to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care and ultimately become a licensed clinical social worker who makes a meaningful impact in my community.
